What do you think of this situation? Pls read and help?

Never put on paper what others are saying about a certain person. It could leak out that she had given names out and it could get her in deep trouble because she would have written in down as a complaint about the staff. If she wants to warn him then she should do it in person. If she is ready to do in person then she needs to know that she has to give out names and she also has to tell him word for word what they are saying behind his back. The new head of the department has a right to know what is going on behind his back. It is really unfair to him that the staff is not giving him time to settle in before judging him.
