I am attending the AAU and want to switch to fashion design as my major. Is AAU the best choice?

I have been at AAU for three semesters as an Illustration major but now I want to change to Fashion Design. I don't mind staying here but I was looking into the Art institute or FIDM. I think they are cheaper but I'm still undecided. Any advice from students who attend any of these schools or others would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!
