OPI and essie nail polish help?!!?

Okay so i don't know what color to choose for a french manicure.Can someone please give me so adive the white will always be the same but for a sheer soft pick i need help Please recommend essie and OPI im going for af rench manicure tomorrow and i dont know what color.(The nail tech usually picks bad colors)
