Why did Pelosi have to cast the deciding vote to adjourn before they voted on the tax bill?

Following the party line has destroyed any hope of the some Democrats still having their jobs in the new Congress, now all of sudden they want to convince voters that they care about us. The moderate Democrats were jumping ship in an attempt to save themselves.
